Integrity vs Cheating

Jesus helps us to speak the truth in love, to walk in the Spirit, to walk by faith and not by sight, to trust Him and obey Him.

Lying is sin and cheating is a form of lying.

Sometimes a student will say they forgot their homework. They claim they did the homework but left it on the table at home. After consulting with the parents, it turns out the student never really did their homework. All parents need wisdom as to how to respond to such a situation.

We mostly see honest parents and honest students. Sometimes we see honest parents and dishonest students. A few times we have seen dishonest parents and dishonest students.

Most of our parents are professing born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. We’re grateful that most of our homeschooling parents, whether born again or not, are honest. Even those of us who truly belong to Jesus are capable of walking in the flesh. We are all susceptible to dishonesty and cheating. Sometimes we see non-Christians who seem to have more integrity than Christians! Jesus helps us. He disciplines those He loves. The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin.

For those who are not born again, cheating is the least of their problems! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

We recommend asking the Lord to help you supervise your students’ academic work. Help them not to plagiarize or use AI for work that should be their own. Don’t give them access to problem solutions to copy for homework, or tests and test solutions prior to a test.

Let’s all pray for one another!
