Supplies

In general, students require notebook paper in a 3-ring binder, pen and/or pencils for each class. Other specific requirements are listed below, including textbooks.

Please note:

  • Notebook paper:  white, lined, 8.5 x 11″, loose paper (NOT in a spiral notebook)
  • Pen/pencil:  black or blue lead or ink only.
  • 3-ring binder:  all high school subjects require a dedicated binder; please do not combine work from two or more classes in the same one.
  • Elementary students taking writing and science classes may use one binder for both.
  • Junior high students taking writing and science classes may use one binder for both.

High School English: 3-ring binder, lots of notebook paper, pen/pencil, 5 tabbed dividers as necessary.

Biology: 3-ring binder, lots of notebook paper, pen/pencil, tabbed dividers.  Course textbook is Apologia’s Exploring Creation With Biology, 2nd edition.

Chemistry: 3-ring binder, lots of notebook paper, pen/pencil, tabbed dividers, and a calculator capable of scientific notation (but not graphing). Students will not be allowed to use phone calculators; students who do not bring their calculator to each and every class session will face consequences!  Course textbook is Berean Builders Discovering Design with Chemistry.

Junior Writing 6/7 and 8: 3-ring binder, lots of notebook paper, pen/pencil, 3 tabbed dividers.  Textbooks included.

Junior High Science: 3-ring binder, tabbed dividers, lots of notebook paper, pen/pencil. Textbooks included in course fee.

Elementary Language Arts: 3-ring binder, pencils, notebook paper.  

Elementary Science: 3-ring binder, pencils, notebook paper. 

Algebra 1: notebook paper, pencil/pen.  Text is Saxon’s Algebra 1, 3rd edition.

Algebra 2:  notebook paper, pencil/pen.  Text is Saxon’s Algebra 2, 3rd edition.

Pre-algebra: notebook paper, pen/pencil.  Text is Saxon’s Algebra 1/2, 3rd edition.

ALL ALGEBRA CLASSES: Pencil or pen (black or blue ink), standard-size, loose leaf, white, college-ruled lined paper.  Size can be either 8.5 x 11 inches or 8×10.5 inches.  Please not smaller.  No spiral notebook paper, graph paper, or other colors of paper other than white.  (Spiral notebooks may be used for taking notes, but not required.)

Honors English:  computer, access to the Internet.
