On our first Tuesday class (9/5) the pre-algebra students will be given tests to evaluate their current abilities and to determine if they are in the correct class.
The next day, Wednesday (9/6) I will lecture on the first four lessons of the textbook and assign the required homework to be turned in the following Tuesday (9/12).
First homework is due Tuesday, 9/12.
First test: Tuesday, 9/19.
Recommended review prior to the first class day (9/5):
- Multiplication facts/tables
- How to add a column of numbers
- How to subtract, including borrowing
- How to multiply two large numbers
- How to perform long division
- Fractions – adding, subtracting, multiplying
